About DAVID DUNCAN PHOTOGRAPHY

David Duncan Photography is a corporate photography studio where we works with corporate, editorial and non-profit clients as well as producing multimedia storytelling and video content with our multimedia studio called Live Dream Share, www.livedreamshare.com. I am an Adjunct Professor at Randolph College where I teach Intro to Digital Filmmaking and Multimedia. For the past three years I have partnered with The YWCA of Central Virginia where I have produced photography and video projects pro-bono. I worked as a photojournalist for 12 years before leaving the newspaper industry in 2006.

In 2005 I was accepted into the Poynter Institute for Journalism where I participated in the Visual Edge: Visual Reporting workshop. There, I learned to become a better storyteller in this digital age.

My background, I earned a B.F.A. in Photography from Savannah College of Art & Design in 1995. I specialize in photographing people. My work has been published in the LIFE book and magazine, “The American Spirit; Meeting the Challenge of September 11th.” My past documentary multimedia project called ‘Innocence Lost Lynchburg 9/11’ was accepted into the Library of Congress’, American Folklife Center in 2003 and renamed “David Duncan September 11th Collection.” I live in Lynchburg, VA with my wife, Michelle, and two dogs, Greta & Murphy.
